                                        BIOGRAPHY 

JustJeannie " Jeannie Pomeroy has been performing with various groups since she was 16 starting with her brothers and “Country 5” she performed with them until she was 18 then joined the very popular party band Midnight hour. Midnight hour performed all over CT. and Western Ma. In the late 80’s. Jeannie went on to perform with the John Canyun Band and kept within the roots of Country music. It was in the late 80’s that she was voted Female Entertainer of the year by the Connecticut Country Music Association and won an award for her collaboration of songwriting with her mother.

 

Jeannie moved to the Tampa area of Florida and continued to perform with the very popular group Southern Rain. In the early 90’s Jeannie moved back to her home state and became a member of the group “Higher Ground”. Higher Ground was formed in 1993 as a Country Band. The Band grew over the past 20 years with with the versatility of  Country, Rock, Blues, Classic Rock and Standards. Jeannie has worked with some amazing musicians with  Rick Sylvester and Lou Johnson.  In 1998 Jeannie started branching out by joining the very popular band, ”Quintera” Quintera was a very versatile, High energy Rock band that plays for many functions across CT. Some functions include, the PT. Barnum and Bailey boat cruise out of Bridgeport, The Channel 3 Kids Camp fundraiser ride, Silver Shield Foundation, Opening for Rick Derringer for Enfield 4th of July Celebration, Many Clubs, Private parties and Military functions for the Young Marines.

 

She was also a member of an off shoot group called “Off the Cuff” with Lou Johnson from Quintera. Off the cuff was a group that performs for various functions by playing anything that comes to mind. No song list, No practice just Off the Cuff! And never the same show twice! Jeannie worked with these 3  groups for the last 20 years and has worked hard to provide quality vocal and guitar performances for the many friends and fans that she encounters. In 2017 Jeannie went full force with her solo act as JustJeannie. She was very nervous about performing by herself  full time with the loss of her music partner and close friend Lou Johnson but music is healing and she needed some healing.  Check out any of her performances to see what she’s all about and Thank you for taking the time to learn about her!
